The online news and journalism that exists today in South Africa
1.Timeslive.co.za
This is a website for your breaking news stories and home to Sunday times and The Times.
This website gives access to other sister websites, so before you can even read the content , you can choose to go to another news site through it. The leading story  appears first and the picture is big which draws attention. The weather forcast is also on top which helps to those who want to see weather updates only.
They have a line up index ranging from top news to videos which make it easy for a reader to choose if he wants to read business news or sport news first. Below the leading story , you have breaking news headlines and you can just click for a quick look. They also have a commenting section below stories which is not properly monitored because people tend to insult each other  there.
The design of the overrall site is attractive even though the use of multimedia is poor beacause it’s not easy to view videos posted. You can also share stories through twitter , facebook and other social networks.
2.iol.co.za
This news site is so easy to go through. They have the an index lined up from breaking news to classifieds. They also have  a search engine above and headlines scrolling above. Unlike www.timeslive.co.za their videos are easy to view.
The adverts are well organised. They have a picture gallery and social networks to share stories. The design of the site is neat and presentable. Their  pictures are of good quality and if you want to save it in your own PC, it’s easy than other sites. www.iol.co.za

3.sabc
The SABC news site is the best so far. The design and use of colour makes it to be even more attractive. It’s welcoming. The index is lined up on top and you can choose which category of news you want to start with. The layout of stories is neat and they also have trending stories for those who have missed them. This help readers know about stories that most people are interested in.
They also catagorise stories accordingly. They have national news, Africa news and International news. This website is up to date with technology because they have a slide show of top stories, so you just click and read. You also get a weather update of three days.http://www.sabc.co.za/news

THE FASHION BEHIND THE VOICE

Whitney Houston's death took everyone by shock. It's not what fans were expecting , especially after loosing M Jackson and Amy Winehouse. Houston was the greatest among the greatest. Her voice was angelic and many tried to immitate her but there was only one Houston.
Behind the voice, there was beauty, a stunning body and classic style. So it would be unfair not to share those fashion memories we have of her.

we will always love you
may Angels welcome you with your angelic voice.

TURBANS IN HISTORY

Ever wondered where designers got the idea of turbans from? Well wonder no more, because I did my 5 secs research for you. So read this if you are tired of wearing something you're not sure of.

The history of the much loved hair accessory is so diverse, its hard to tell which region or culture deserves credit for it. Regions in the world have their own form of turbans. According to historical recordings and timelines ( using such words bores me but fashion still has history, so we'll use ''historical''), turbans were first seen or worn in the 14th century when the Moonsh were seeing a downfall in Spain. Man use to cover their heads with wrapped clothes(turbans). Ussually, it was worn over a skull cap, crown and a long bonnet.

The people of Persia also wore a cone-shaped cap that was encircled by bands of cloth. In Sudan they used the turban to protect themselves from swirling sand. This practice spread to some countries. Even the Native Americans in the US wore it to protect their heads. In Turkey, it was different because the turban revealed a person's social standing.

Hollywood also adopted this rather cultural trend, with actresses making it chic to wear turbans. The history is rich and diverse and every country take credits.
So now you can buy yours knowing the story behind it......more for you on turbans>>>>>>
