1970s IN 2011
Is the future going back to the past or is the past going to the future? Help! I look around me and feel ashamed of myself, not because I have done something wrong but I have been ignorant of 1970's fashion when I was 16. My mom, typical as she can be, still has clothes from when she was........ Mother Nature knows how old she was. But most are from the 1970's. Was not born that time and God was not even preparing for me to be born. It was just too early for me to descend into this earth. God knew that I was going to have a huge rather unresolvable problem. An addiction to clothing . Well I guees I just confessed. The 1970s were hot with music and fashion and it was that time where the women movements were getting to be taken serious. Wish I was there. For the clothes of course because the music still doesn't make sense to my innocent ears.
Lately it's all coming back to us. The clothes not Celin Dion's love. My mom's weird clothes are back in the shelves and more stylish than ever. From the big hats down to the scary shoes. I didn't even know jumpsuits have been there before. Forgive me I'm still young. High waist colourful pants, maxi skirts, your denim shirts. it's all 1970s. Is fashion evolving or going back? Surely Mother Nature has some explaining to give....... but after I've got tired of clothing. If ever I will .

brazillian women tooo hot for their husbands!!!!!!
Ok when I first heard this I was a little confused with the details of what was really going on. But now I get it just that I'm not sure where I stand in terms of who is right and wrong. Women have always been seen as sex-objects which is an insult. But I find the Brazillian government fascinating in dealing with this issue.
Brazil's Ministry for Women submitted a request September to suspend some ad, because she says it reinforces the stereotype of women as sex objects. the TV ad sends a message that 'sensuality can melt any man' and 'encourages Brazillian women to use their charms ....to minimize the reactions of their husbands.' Like what? Really?
In the commercial for the Brazilian brand Hope, Brazilian-born Gisele Bundchen is clad in panties, a bra and high heels, in an effort to distract her husband when she delivers horrible news about damaging his car, exceeding her credit limit and her mother coming to live with them. and what's also amazing is that men are angry but not because their women are perceive as sex objects but because this ad makes them look like idiots. I MEAN RELLY NOW...............I'll be back with my thoughts on this...............

TIRED OF WEAVES
Gone are those hair days where extending your hair with fake hair was perceive as expensive and stylish. Only women who could afford could do such hair. Broke ones sticked to braids and corn rows as they were more cheap and affordable. Time went by and South African women all fell for the prey which is fake hair. I too did my first weave last year after the world cup as I wanted to be a grown up young woman (18 years). I enjoyed having long hair. For me any hairdo seemed possible. I could style the hair anyhow, even though during the nights I would scream beacause of the heat in my scalp cause by the heat brought by the so called 100% natural human hair. Because everything evolves, so is this hair. Now we have the famous Indian and Brazillian hair infamous for it causes of lice. I'm pretty sure South African women are the highest consumers of it . But some women are now seeing the light . They being illuminated by the reality that fake hair doesn't enhance your beauty but gives you too much of unnecessary stress. It's tiring. The hair. It's just too much, having to iron it all the time and wash it is a full time job on its own. What if we were to go back to the basics as African women . I suggest an afro . It doesn't have to be as big as the one rocked by the soul man . Solange is doing it her way so are the girls in my campus. I think it's about time that I too join the movement and liberate myself from the inconvinience of fake hair.

LUNATIC LOVE
Lunatic love it is, Rihana shot a man down and Adele said never mind i'll find someone like you, whilst Kelly Rowland is still thinking about being his motivation. Body to body with Chris Brown, he tells me he'll be right next to me when Beyonce says you are the best thing I never had. But Selema Gomez asked who said that because R Kelly has said how do I tell her when Lil Wayne want to teach her how to love. Rihana came back and asked why everything with you is so complicated rainy man and Adele just cant keep up with your turning tables, because Kanye is turning all the lights to see Beyonce count 1+1 while Jay Z is touring with the throne. Wonder if they'll all make love faces because Rick Ross just want to blow money fast as Nicky Minaj doesn't want anyone to see right through her in this smoment of life.Happy Weekend Friends!!!!!!
